June is Adopt A Cat Month!
Adopt a Cat Month: The Saturday Scoop
Join us on June 7th to jump start adoptions for this special month. We will have free ice cream, 20% discount on all retail items, and a reduced adoption fee for adult cat adoptions. All finalized adoptions of cats at least one year old will receive 50% OFF the normal cat adoption fee of $100 on Saturday, June 7th ONLY!
Prize Drawing
Each person or family who adopts a cat in June will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win great prizes. At the end of the month we will draw adopter names randomly and award prizes. The grand prize is two tickets to a Washington Nationals baseball game at the new stadium. If we reach our goal of 100 cat adoptions during June, another winner will have his or her $100 adoption fee refunded!
Adopt a Cat Month: Your Cat in the Spotlight
We would love to hear all about your successful adoption stories. If you adopted a cat from the Arlington shelter, please share a photo and tell us how special your cat is to you. How has your cat changed your life? What have you learned from your cat? What makes your cat special or different? Does your cat have a curious habit or special talent? Describe your cat’s special bond with your children, dog, cat, rabbit or other family member. Share a funny story with us. At the end of the month, we will have a panel of judges select the best story which will then be featured on our Web site and printed in our next edition of our print newsletter Pawpourri! Send your cat's photo and story by e-mail to jgrantman@awla.org by June 15.
