Hantke Memorial Spay/Neuter Fund
In 1992 the Hantke Family established the Bert Hantke Spay/Neuter Fund in 1992 to honor their father, Bert, who passed away in 1990, and his active interest in animal welfare. The fund seeks to reduce pet overpopulation by providing low-cost spay and neuter surgery to pets whose owners cannot afford them. Over the past 14 years, hundreds of animals have been spayed or neutered thanks to financial support from this fund.
In 2005, Bert's son Bruce passed away and will always be remembered for his compassion and charity. Bruce's support for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington extended well beyond the Hantke Memorial Spay/Neuter Fund. Bruce volunteered for 14 years and year after year, contributed to the success of the Walk for the Animals.
If you wish to honor the memories of Bert and Bruce Hantke and help us end pet overpopulation in our community, please designate your donation to the Hantke Memorial Spay/Neuter Fund.
