Amy is a native Arizonan and graduated from Colorado State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  Working as an Army veterinarian and taking care of the Military Working Dogs returning from deployment spurred her interest in behavior medicine. Dr. Pike completed a Residency program and became board certified in 2015. She is the owner of the Animal Behavior Wellness Center and was recently named one of the “Top Veterinarians of Northern Virginia” by NoVa Magazine for the fifth year in a row.

She enjoys gardening and hanging out with her active-duty Army husband of 20 years, her 13 yr old daughter, her 8 yr old son, and their menagerie – Pinocchio (27-year-old African Ring Neck parakeet), Dobby (6-year-old Devon Rex), Ike (4-year-old Giant Schnauzer), Scooby (2-year-old, Mini schnauzer), Ginny (3-month-old Airedale), and Prickles (1-year-old Hedge Hog).
