Spencer began his career in animal welfare in 2020 as a member of the Community Support team at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, where he helped pet owners secure resources such as pet food, grants for emergency veterinary care, and housing for pets during critical times. In 2021, Spencer joined the Animal Control team to unite his passion for serving his community and providing these necessary resources to pets and their owners by going hands-on in the field. He now specializes in pet emergency response and preparedness. Spencer serves Arlington County as the Community Animal Response Team (CART) Lead to
provide emergency pet sheltering during natural and man-made disasters.
