Tannia Talento is a Latina community leader and activist and the former Chair of the Arlington School Board. She was a member of the Arlington School Board from 2017-2020. She formerly worked in corporate law for 15 years as a legal secretary and assistant and uses these skills actively to support her community advocacy efforts. Tannia is also a living kidney donor and has been a healthcare advocate for family and friends throughout her life. Tannia is an active and a founding member of ASHPA, the Arlington Schools Hispanic Parents Association. She also serves as the Chair of the Dream Project Advisory Board, is a Board member of EduTutorVA, a Board member of the Arlington Free Clinic, and a Board member of Aspire! Afterschool Learning. Tannia lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Gary, and together they have five children and two English springer spaniels.
