SUMMARY:Check Their Chip Day
DESCRIPTION:Check Their Chip Day\nKeep Your Pet Safe with an Up-to-Date Microchip! \nJoin us at AWLA on Thursday\, August 15\, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for a special event focused on keeping your pet safe and secure. We’ll be offering FREE microchip scans for both dogs and cats. If your pet already has a microchip\, we’ll register it for free to ensure all your current contact information is up-to-date. \nIf your pet is not yet microchipped\, don’t worry! You’ll receive a coupon for a discounted microchipping service at one of our upcoming clinics. Plus\, we’ll be offering free nail trims for dogs and cats* during the event. \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to enhance your pet’s safety and well-being! \n \n*Limited availability\, first come\, first served. AWLA reserves the right to refuse service if the pet is too fearful or uncomfortable for the service.  \nWhat is a microchip? According to the Humane Society of the United States\, “microchips are tiny transponders\, about the size of a grain of rice\, that can be implanted under your pet’s skin. A microchip isn’t the same as a GPS device\, and it can’t be used to track your pet’s whereabouts. It’s simply a unique identifier (think of it as your pet’s social security number) that is implanted so it can’t be lost. Microchips provide an extra level of protection in case your pet loses their collar or tags. Studies show that pets with chips are much more likely to be returned to their owners than those who lack one.” \nClick Here To Learn More About Microchips
