We’re preparing for construction and need your help to get as many animals as possible into temporary foster homes. \n\nBasic supplies will be provided by the shelter – please see the list below.\nFoster families must be able to pick up a pet at the shelter between Dec 7-23\, and be able to keep them in their home until at least Jan 12.\nFoster families must live in Virginia\, Maryland\, or D.C.\, and cannot travel out of the area with their foster pets.\nFoster families must follow all rules and guidelines of our foster program.\nFoster families will be matched up with a pet on a first-come\, first-match basis\, and we cannot guarantee every family interested in taking part will be able to foster a pet.\n\nIf you are interested in fostering a pet during our Home for the Holidays event\, please visit the shelter on a day you can bring home a foster pet to be matched up with a pet. The meditation session includes a short\, guided meditation\, focused on extending the love we have for our pets to ourselves and one another\, kitten snuggling\, community\, and joy. \nBring your own yoga mat or towel/pillow to sit on\, as you will be seated on the floor.
