This clinic is FULL! \n\nRabies shots are $15\, distemper shots are free\, and microchips are $35.\nNO CASH\, card payment only.\nAll humans must wear a mask at all times and maintain at appropriate distances of at least 6 feet in all situations.\nIf you arrive after your designated time\, you will lose your spot.\nAll dogs must be on a leash\, and all cats in carriers. Retractable leashes are not allowed.\nIf your pet is reactive to humans or other animals\, please do not sign up for this clinic. We ask that you seek advice from a veterinarian.\nThe clinic is indoors in the AWLA Education Room. DESCRIPTION:Home for the Holidays is back for 2023!\nIf you’re staying in town for the holiday season and have extra room in your home\, you can foster a dog\, cat\, or small companion animal and give them a much-deserved break from their kennels over the holidays! \n\nSome basic supplies will be provided by the shelter – please see the list below – but due to our current supply inventory\, other items will need to be purchased by the foster family.\nFoster families must be able to pick up a pet at the shelter from Dec 20-23\, and be able to keep them in their home until at least Jan 5.\nFoster families must live in Virginia\, Maryland\, or D.C.\, and cannot travel out of the area with their foster pets.\nFoster families must follow all rules and guidelines of our foster program.\nFoster families will be matched up with a pet on a first-come\, first-match basis\, and we cannot guarantee every family interested in taking part will be able to foster a pet.\n\n\nIf you are interested in fostering a pet during our Home for the Holidays event\, please fill out the form below\, and then come to the shelter on your chosen date to be matched up with a pet. Filling out the form does not guarantee a foster placement.
