Mix and mingle with some of the League’s shelter dog celebrities as they strut and pose on the red carpet to represent the hundreds of animals that will benefit from the evening’s proceeds. \nCocktails\, fine-dining\, dancing as well as silent and live auctions will fill the evening. Musical entertainment by Odyssey Band\, a 10-piece horn ensemble\, will keep you dancing all night! \nDr. Katy Nelson\, The Pet Show with Dr. Katy\, on News Channel 8 and Joan Jones\, Morning Anchor on WTOP will co-host the festivities. SUMMARY:Adopt-a-thon
DESCRIPTION:In observance of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Month\, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will host a “Meet Your Match” Adopt-A-Thon from noon-4p.m. on Saturday\, November 15 at the shelter. Adoption fees will be reduced by 50 percent for all shelter animals and animals will be able to go home the same day with fully approved adopters (rental permission required). \nEducational sessions and kids crafts will be presented throughout the afternoon by League staff. \n12pm-1pm: Dog Latin dog behavior seminar \n12:15pm: Tour of AWLA \n1pm:  Children’s Craft /Animal Origami \n2pm: Responsible Pet Ownership Presentation \n2:30pm: Tour of AWLA \n3:15pm: Children’s Craft/Animal Origami
