Meet Bailey!

Bailey is a sweet, affectionate girl who may come across as a little unsure when you first meet her, but she warms up super fast. Within minutes of arriving at her foster home, she was relaxed and exploring her new surroundings. By the end of her first evening, she was curled up next to her foster parent on the bed – and she’s been a devoted companion ever since. Bailey’s initial shyness in the shelter doesn’t reflect who she truly is once she feels safe in a home environment.

In her foster home, Bailey lives happily alongside a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever. The two became fast friends within hours, enjoying play sessions together throughout the day. Bailey is able to read other dogs’ body language and respects their boundaries, making her a great candidate for a home with a resident dog. She’s also loves people. She enjoys being petted and handled, rides calmly in the car, and shows no resource guarding around food or other dogs. Bailey is also one of the quietest dogs you’ll ever meet – her foster parent has not heard her bark once.

Bailey is currently working on house training and leash manners in her foster home. She is smart and making steady progress with a consistent routine. She will do best with an adopter who is patient and willing to continue building on the structure she’s learning. Bailey is also a clever problem-solver – she figured out how to open an airline-approved travel crate on her own, so her future family should be prepared for a dog who keeps them on their toes!

Bailey is a gentle, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. With a little patience and consistency, she will make a wonderful addition to the right home.
