We provide a variety of
services and resources to keep your pets
healthy, happy, and home.
Vaccinations
AWLA offers rabies and distemper vaccines at low-cost clinics throughout the year. Virginia law requires that all dogs and cats four months of age and older have a current rabies vaccine.
Microchips
Microchipping offers the only truly permanent method of identifying your pet and linking the animal back to you! AWLA offers multiple opportunities each year to microchip your pet.
Community Care Clinics
AWLA's Community Care Clinics provide both veterinary care for pets, as well as human wellness resources and support.
Spay/Neuter Vouchers
AWLA partners with local veterinarians to offer low-cost vouchers for spay and neuter surgeries to keep pets healthy and combat pet overpopulation.
Veterinary Assistance
The League's Veterinary Assistance Program helps pet owners who need emergency veterinary care for their pets but cannot afford the costs.
Training Classes
Can we lend a paw? AWLA offers 45-minute virtual training sessions tailored to your pet's needs, as well as discounts with the GoodPup training app.
Behavior Hotline
While we can't keep people from moving, cure allergies, or make all rental properties pet-friendly, we can help owners resolve their animals' behavior challenges.
