Junior Fosters is AWLA's most unique, hands-on program for kids ages 13-17!
Junior Fosters care for a rabbit or guinea pig from the comfort of their home (with parental supervision) and help their foster pet find their new family. Our program seeks to give as much responsibility as possible to your child so they can learn and appreciate all the benefits of caring for a pet and the rewarding job of being a foster. Our organization provides all necessary education, equipment, and support to ensure a positive experience for both the foster animal and family.
What your child gains from the experience:
- community service hours
- experience working/caring for animals
- responsibility with weekly tasks
- communication skills
- and more!
