Emergencies:
Emergencies are covered on a case-by-case basis. Potential emergencies include: pet struck by vehicle, broken or dislocated bones, severe vomiting or diarrhea for multiple days, urinary tract blockage, foreign body ingestion, any situation involving excessive blood loss, or any situation that requires veterinary care within 0-4 hours. Please call us to determine whether your situation qualifies for an emergency grant.

Pet owners must be residents of Arlington County, VA to qualify for this program. Conditions not covered by our Vet Assistance Program: minor cuts and abrasions, flea or tick infestations, intestinal parasites, limping (but otherwise normal) behavior, cancer, dental procedures, orthopedic surgeries, routine veterinary care, wellness care, vaccines, grooming, euthanasia, or after-life services.
