Doggy Massage Class

February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Prepare you and your true love for the gift of massage this Valentine’s Day. Come learn the benefits of doggy massage, how to perform it, and how to enhance your doggy’s life with this fun and informative class.

This class will include a brief introduction to doggy massage and its benefits followed by a 30-minute demonstration with time for questions at the end of the demonstration.

Our own Animal Care Technician, Kat H., will be guiding the class. Kat started her career working with animals in 2003 at CLAH, an animal hospital in West Virginia. There she practiced as a kennel assistant and vet tech assistant. She worked to rehabilitate injured dogs using massage and underwater treadmills. She graduated from the American Institute of Massage in 2008 and practiced deep tissue and trigger point massage for 8 years in Richmond, VA.

PLEASE NOTE: Auditor tickets are for one person only (no dog allowed with you).

Dog + Participant tickets are for hands-on training with your dog. If you are signing up for this ticket type, please make sure that your animal is both people- and dog-friendly. They must be able to focus on you and settle in a room of other people and animals. Only five spots are available for Dog + Participants.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Anna at awaigand@awla.org.

All proceeds benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
