ClinicsOn March 8th, 2021, AWLA will be hosting a microchip-only clinic for cats owned by residents of Arlington County and its neighbors! The Microchip Madness Cat Clinic will provide free microchips (including chip registration) to cat owners in Arlington and neighboring counties.
As part of the Maddie’s Fund No Place Like Home Challenge, we are promoting ways to reunite lost pets with their families. Microchipping your pets is the best and most efficient way to give your pet the best chance of finding their way home if they ever become lost. During the month of March, we are focusing on our feline community, as 34% of cats nationwide are never reunited with their families (compared to 6% of dogs).
