About Me

A 12-year-old Chihuahua mix, Jumping Jack has a big personality, a lot to say, and still has plenty of pep in his step! He’s affectionate, people-focused, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. He’s a spry little guy who enjoys gentle adventures, companionship, and being treated like the VIP he knows he is.

He does best with a family that is home most of the time, as he can become anxious when left alone and will happily “sing the song of his people.” Jumping Jack also needs continued work on house training and would thrive with experienced adopters who can provide structure, patience, and reassurance. He would do best in a home with children 10 years and older.

Medically, Jumping Jack has been evaluated by a veterinary cardiologist and diagnosed with mild degenerative valve disease, which is common in older small dogs. His heart function is currently good, and he is on medication to help support his heart and delay progression! Routine follow-ups and daily medication will help keep him feeling his best, and a dental cleaning is recommended in the future.

If you are interested in adopting Jumping Jack, please send an email to adoptions@awla.org to arrange an initial virtual meet & greet with the pet’s foster parent or a staff member. They will reply to you within 24-48 hours.
