Lily

Lily's foster family told us: “Lily is a sweet baby angel, and gives the best kisses, hugs, and snuggles. She aspires to be a sous chef or your personal taste tester, practicing daily. Lily is very smart, currently learning 'sit' and 'off', and is easily motivated by treats and affection. Everyone who meets her loves her – with people often stopping on walks to say hi – and says she's the sweetest pup. Once settled, we were comfortable allowing Lily the run of the house. She loves any comfy spot – the couch, bed, reading chairs – but her most comfortable spot is next to you.

Lily's perfect day starts with sleeping in and morning cuddles, a moderate walk, and breakfast. Followed by quiet activities (e.g., snuffle mat, enrichment toys) or more snuggles while you watch the morning news or telework. Over lunch, she'd like another moderate walk or play time in the yard (she's practicing 'fetch'), followed by more snuggles. Like a cat, she'll find a comfy spot in the sun to take a nap. In the afternoon, a walk, hike, or jog allows her additional chances to greet everyone on the trail with tail wags and some hugs. Later at night she'll help with dinner and accept pets as payment. When it's bedtime, she'll happily settle into the bed – the closer to you the better – dreaming to repeat it all the next day.”
