About Me
Sandy Cheeks is a sweet, lovable, and curious young pup who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s eager to learn and thrives on positive reinforcement especially when treats are involved! Her foster’s said “Sandy is already making great progress with her basic commands, including “sit,” “down,” “mat” (settling on her mat), “paws down” (keeping all four on the floor), and “with me” for loose leash walking.”
This affectionate girl truly loves being near her people. Whether you’re moving around the house or relaxing on the couch, Sandy will happily stay close by. Don’t be surprised if she suddenly flops over and offers her belly she’s always ready for a good belly rub! Her fosters mentioned that “Sandy is welcoming with visitors and continues to improve her manners, especially when it comes to not jumping up. With consistency, she’s showing great progress and a strong desire to please.”
She’s also a big fan of her crate, which she sees as a safe and cozy space. Sandy settles in easily when left alone, often enjoying a chew treat before drifting off into a peaceful nap. She’ll even choose to relax in her crate when her family is home.
Her foster says “On walks, Sandy is learning to stay close and is doing well with loose leash skills. While she can still get distracted at times, she’s showing wonderful potential. She doesn’t appear reactive to other dogs and may enjoy having canine friends.”
Sandy is still working on her house training and will need a consistent routine to help her succeed. She’s already shown she can hold it for a few hours in her crate, but when she’s out and about, she’ll need regular potty breaks as she continues to learn. If you’re looking for a cuddly, smart, and eager-to-learn companion, Sandy Cheeks might just be your perfect match!
