Unk is a sensitive, gentle cat who’s simply looking for a quiet home filled with patience, understanding, and love. He may be shy at first, but beneath that cautious exterior is a sweet companion who just needs time to feel safe and secure.

Unk would do best in a calm, adult-only home where he can settle in without the stress of a busy or unpredictable environment. Transitions can be challenging for him because of this it is required that this Unk adopter will have to foster-to-adopt for 3 weeks while getting full support from the behavior team. This will set him up for true success.

To help him succeed, his adopters should set up a small, cozy decompression area where Unk can relax and adjust at his own pace. It’s important to keep his world limited at first and avoid moving him into larger areas of the home until he is consistently showing signs of trust and confidence like approaching you, seeking attention, or comfortably sharing space.

Unk’s new family should keep social pressure very low, allowing him to take the lead in interactions and always respecting his body language. With time, patience, and a gentle approach, he will begin to open up and show his true, loving personality.
