To Our Wonderful Community:
Thank you for contributing to another remarkable year for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington! There have been many changes over these past twelve months — to say the least — but the one constant throughout it all was you by our side.
Given all that’s transpired, I cannot be more grateful for everything you did, and continue to do, for the pets in our community and the people who love and care for them. Your support this past year allowed AWLA to continue growing at a time when our services were needed the most.
Our safety net programs were critical in keeping pets and families together throughout the pandemic. Your support made sure more than 1,300 pets received food through the Pet Pantry program and granted more than $65,000 to pet parents who needed emergency assistance.
I can’t forget to mention the incredible foster network that welcomed 2,092 animals into their homes while they waited for a loving, permanent family. And to wrap it in a bow, a record-breaking 2,587 animals were adopted into loving families and brought much-needed laughs, love, and comfort during such a difficult time.
We did all this, and so much more, thanks to you.
I know these coming months will have plenty of successes and challenges, happy stories, and some sad ones, too, but we’re confidently “walking” into the next fiscal year knowing you’ll be by our side.
