The ‘Ice Cream Kittens’ Will Melt Your Heart!

Sixteen kittens were brought to AWLA on Saturday night (yep, we said sixteen!) at 10pm, all sick and in need of medical care. Our team stayed at the shelter late into the night to make sure each kitten was comfortable and had any medical needs addressed. Now we need YOUR help to continue caring for our “Ice Cream Kittens” (check out all 16 names below) and make sure they grow up strong, healthy, and ready to find new homes!

All of these kittens have upper respiratory infections, as well as possible ear mites and other infections. All are doing well, but need daily medications, treatment, and more to make sure their health continues to improve. And then when they’re older, all sixteen will need vaccines, microchips, and spay/neuter surgeries before they can be adopted! All of that care adds up, especially when we are already dealing with full kennels and more pets being brought to AWLA every day.
