What a difference a year makes.
Exactly one year ago, we shut our doors, sent all of our animals into foster homes, and got to work trying to figure out how to navigate the coming months. It’s been tough, for us and for you, our community. But it’s because of you that we have been able to adapt, overcome, and hit milestones, despite all of the challenges we have faced.
Thanks to you, 2,150 animals found new homes. Thanks to you, 1,855 animals were able to stay in a foster home instead of a kennel during their time with us. Thanks to you, 1,443 animals were transferred to AWLA from shelters and rescues in need of help. Thanks to you, we were able to grant more than $48,000 to pet parents whose pets needed emergency or chronic vet care. Thanks to you, 346 pets were spayed or neutered through our low-cost voucher program. And thanks to you, we were able to provide 26,647 meals to pets in the community.
There are so many more things we need to thank you for today, but we’d be here for a while if we did! So for now, from the bottom of our hearts, we just want to say thank you for being there for us, for pets, and for our community, when we needed you most.
