For the second year, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will participate in the nationwide “Clear the Shelters” adoption event on July 23. Nearly 20,000 pets found their forever homes in 2015, when some 400 animal shelters across the country partnered with NBC Owned Television Stations and the Telemundo Station Group.
The shelter will be open its regular Saturday hours, 12 noon until 4pm. All cats, dogs, and small animals available for adoption will be free. Donations in lieu of adoption fees will be gratefully accepted. All other adoption requirements will apply. All animals must be applied for, adopted, and taken home on Saturday. Last year we found homes for 32 animals in four hours!
