About Me
This handsome orange boy was found on the streets in February. He was thin, freezing, and getting bullied by the neighborhood cats. He was originally meant to be a trap-neuter-return case, but he had other plans. Once he got a taste of indoor life, he decided he was done with the streets. Now, he spends his days lounging in comfort, living like the pampered prince he was always meant to be.
Summer is an affectionate sweetheart once he warms up. He can be a little cautious with new people, but give him a few minutes to quietly observe you, and he’ll come over to say hello and ask for pets.
He’s still learning the best way to ask for attention though. Sometimes he’ll try to grab your leg with his claws as you walk by or give you a soft little love bite when he gets overstimulated. It never breaks the skin, but it might catch a first-time cat owner off guard. Because of this, he’d do best in a calm home with a soft-spoken, experienced cat person, ideally with no small kids.
And Summer doesn’t come alone! He’s bonded with his best friend, Sunshine (formerly Clove), a shy little queen who takes more time to trust, but is endlessly rewarding once she does. These two are a package deal and need to be adopted together.
So if you’re looking for the perfect blend of bold and bashful, snuggles and mystery, and you’re up for the joy of winning over a shy cat’s heart, let us know! We’ll set up a meet-and-greet-Summer will be ready with head butts and purrs, and if you’re lucky, Sunshine might make a rare appearance.
If you are interested in adopting Summer, please send an email to the email address listed above to arrange an initial virtual meet & greet with the pet’s foster parent or a staff member. They will reply to you within 24-48 hours.
