AWLA is proud to announce that our President & CEO, Sam Wolbert, is a recipient of the 2019 40 Under 40 awards presented by Leadership Center for Excellence.
The 40 Under 40 event honors forty trailblazers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in their personal or professional spheres and who are devoted to making positive change within our community. Sam started at AWLA in September 2017, and has since grown the organization through more adoptions and an increased emphasis on community programs. “It’s truly an honor to be selected as a 40 Under 40 honoree,” said Sam Wolbert, “and to be recognized alongside other local leaders. While I am thrilled to receive this distinction, I know the award is more a reflection of AWLA’s reputation and positive impact the organization has in the community”.
Apart from his work with AWLA, Sam also sits on the Board of the Fairlington Citizens Association and is a graduate of Leadership Arlington’s Signature Program. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Sam is a proud Michigander and shares his home with a senior dog named Meemaw and two black cats, Leila and Wayne.
