The Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) is offering a special “Be Mine” Valentine’s weekend promotion from Fri. February 14 through Mon. February 17 (we’re open noon-5pm on Presidents’ Day). Show your love for a shelter animal by adopting a cat, rabbit or bird for $14. The adoption fee includes: a certificate for a free exam with a participating veterinarian, spay or neuter surgery, a feline leukemia and feline AIDS test (for cats), age-appropriate vaccinations, a personalized I.D. tag, a microchip, an information packet and an emergency sticker.
“There is nothing like the companionship and unconditional love you receive from a four-legged friend,” said Neil Trent, AWLA president and CEO. “We invite the community to come to the League, meet their match and provide a shelter animal with a loving home.”
