On Tuesday, January 25, AWLA’s Chief Jennifer Toussaint received an Outstanding Individual Service Award as part of Arlington County’s COVID-19 Heroes Awards! The awards, which were presented during Arlington County’s Recessed Board Meeting, celebrates local residents, community groups, and businesses that made “significant impact[s] in the fight against the effects of the pandemic.”
The Outstanding Individual Service Award acknowledges people who provided, and continue to provide, support to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day, Chief Toussaint goes above and beyond for our community, providing support, assistance, and a kind word to all that need it.
“I am greatly humbled by this recognition, it has truly touched my heart,” said Chief Toussaint. “Working in this beautiful community, and with such an amazing organization and team of officers, I have the extreme privilege of witnessing acts or kindness and service every day. The road has been tough but we have endured the hardships together. I am thankful to my community, my team, my family, and my friends for their ongoing compassion, love and support.”
We want to give our heartfelt congratulations to Chief Toussaint. The award is well-deserved, and we are so privileged and grateful to have her on our team.
